Escuela Las Morochas (ELM) is a private school located in Ciudad Ojedad, Zulia State, in the western region of Venezuela.

Founded in 1939, it is the youngest city in the state. The region contains one of the largest petroleum deposits in Venezuela. In 1970, the American community directly influenced the founding of ELM.

Since its foundation, Escuela Las Morochas has offered and education based of the American educational system. Instruction has always been in English.

ELM is accredited by the Southern Association of School and Colleges (SACS) and is also a member of both the Venezuelan Association of North American School (VANAS) and the Association of American School in South America (AASSA). It offers and educational experience comparable to the other VANAS schools located in Caracas, Valencia, El Tigre, Puerta la Cruz, Anaco and Maracaibo.

ELM´s facilities are spacious, modern and air conditioned, and the school has the capacity for more than one hundred students. It includes a computer lab, science lab and library with more than 6.000 titles and publications.

The sports area consists of a covered basketball court, tennis court and soccer/baseball field.

All of ELM´s pedagogical resources and its infrastructure have one purpose: to produce a healthy educational climate that promotes positive and measurable learning results.
