After School Activities are offered to students from 3:00-4:00 PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Philosophy and Objectives for After School Activities
The After School activity program at ELM should provide a variety of experiences for students and give them the opportunity to excel in areas outside of the classroom.
The following objectives should be implemented when planning and considering an activity.
Activities must include instructional components.
There should be interaction between the sponsor and the students during the activity.
Sponsors should create an environment that optimizes socialization and teamwork.
Responsibility and commitment to the activity should be emphasized.
Activities are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Note: Activities will not be held on Wednesday. This is reserved for Teacher Meetings.
The after school activity program is held quarterly. Sponsors may wish to continue or create a new activity per quarter.
If you enjoy taking pictures, or even being in pictures AND you own a personal camera, then Photo Club is for you. Sign up and together as amateurs we’ll learn all about the world behind the camera. 4th grade and above – Limit 10
Come and listen to a favorite fairy tale and then be prepared to participate in improve theater. We will make costumes, design masks and/or use puppets to “play”. Space is limited to the first eight students who sign up.

Come and join the fun! In CARDS & GAMES, we will spend our time playing a variety of card games and board games. It’s a great way to unwind after a day of learning. Hope to see you there!
Need a quiet place to work on your homework or just read a book? Want to lighten your homework load? Join Mr. Wilkinson’s study hall for a quiet sanctuary to get some work done before you head home for the day.
If you like math or just need some extra practice, this is the after school activity for you. We’ll play a variety of games covering different math skills. Everyone will leave a winner!!!
It’s so easy even Mr. Eilers can do it. It’s as easy as it is fun! Join Mr. Eilers as we create our own zoo filled with dinosaurs, teddy bears, rabbits, elephants, octopus, giraffes, and dogs. Let’s just hope we don’t pop too many of them.
Want to play some fun and crazy outdoor games like Ultimate Frisbee and Capture the Flag? Join me for some FUN! Our final game day will be a water balloon war! Competitive students urged to sign up!
